USB won't load on Windows 7

Hello,
I was at my friends house when my USB broke. I wanted to transfer a file to his computer, but the computer was full of viruses. Now, when i plug the USB to my computer, it doesn't load. Even the 'lamp' on the USB won't light. Any ideas?

Hi,

Its definitely damaged since the light is not on as you mentioned and cannot be repaired also ,ill advise to purchase new one without wasting time trying to repair or recover data from it,

Sad to say but I afraid that pcsces is correct and not a single byte could ever be retreived. I am sure that this case is closed.
