Difference between exfat and ntfs

Hello,

Can anyone please tell me whats the difference between formatting using exfat and using ntfs??

one of my pen drives, i tried to convert it says cannot convert exfat drives to ntfs ?????

also i want to purchase a external hard disk but it says its pre foramtted hdd- fat 32 ... so in this case i cant store a single file greater than 4 gb rite??

so to solve this can i convert it into ntfs??

please help me geniuses..!!

exfat will store files up to 16GB.

You should be able to convert the FAT formatted hard drive to NTSF using Windows 7.
ok but wat about ntfs how much it can??

but i tried to format my 8 gb pen drive using ntfs..... but it says cannot convert exfat drives to ntfs........

please help me

exFAT will store files up to 256GB

BUT remember if you change to NTFS on your stick you will no longer be able to use it directly into your TV like you can with FAT files, just something to consider if you do that kind of thing as i do a LOT of.......
