I cant log into Hotmail!

Hello,
I recently bought a laptop and I got the internet put on it. The first day I put the net on it, I was able to get in and check my emails fine. Since then, both my husband and I have been unable to log into to our emails! It will go as far as the sign in page so I can put my login details in but when I hit enter it doesnt log in. I am currently using Firefox and the message it says is "Bad Request (Invalid Verb)". When I use Internet Explorer it says, "Internet Explorer Cannot Dsplay the webpage".
I thought maybe the webpage was down for a few days but I tried logging on at a friends place and it worked! So its got to be something to do with my browser or something! I've tried allowing cookies and approving the site with my security but nothing seems to work!
Could someone please help?!
