Try this 1
After installation of windows xp you are suppose to install the drivers.
Click on Start --> Run --> Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
"Device Manager" will be opened. If you notice any yellow mark then install the
drivers. Go to your manufacture's website and look for the drivers for your laptop.

Let us know the model number.
