I can see desktop on tv, but that's all...

Hello,

I connected my hdmi cable from hdvt (vizio) to desktop (windows xp prof) and i clicked on properties, clicked on settings and the set up was successful. I can see my desktop screen on my tv but not the icons. When i open a youtube video I have to drag it (or anything else I want to see) to my far right. I tried adjusting the resolution but to no avail. Can anyone help me with this p[roblem. I would really appreciate it. thanx.

First of all make sure that your TV is set as the primary display.

What graphic card are you using?
