Hi,
You could try to install by using crossover.
Unfortunately, crossover is not free and his test version is available for only 30 days.
However, personnaly I used in the early days under GNU/Linux and I was quite satisfied.
For now, if I need to use MS Office, I'll do it by using Windows under VirtualBox.
Another possibility of course is to using Wine. I never tried it, I don't like drink ;-)
Anyway, you must be root to install the software.
