Fix i/o error matshita dvd-ram uj-850s driver
Closed
Hello,
I have a Toshiba laptop that runs Windows Vista. My DVD/CD burner will not work. It will not run disks and it will not start up. I can hear the disk spinning but it doesnt register to the compter that there is a disk in there. When I try to burn music onto a disk it tells me to insert a blank disk.
I have updated my device drivers. When I go to "Start" "run" then type in "d:\" it tells me that "the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
can anyone help? I have tried to google to fix it but they are only programs that I downloand the package and then it asks me to purchase the product.
thank you

Hello,
Try this 1
Click on Start --> In search box, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
"Device Manager" will be opened.
Now expand the "DVD/CD-ROM Drives" --> Right-click on your drive -->
Select "Uninstall" --> Click on OK --> Restart your laptop.
Good Luck.
