Monitor for dell cpu

Hello, After I restarted my computer,my monitor went black and there is light on the power on/off. The speaker works because I hear it prompt for my password so it can reboot.Do you think its in my computer or the monitor itself. thanks

Hi,

It can be either the vga cable,monitor itself or graphic card.Remove video card clean it with some alcohol then fix back or try with a new one .For monitor connect with another cpu or laptop to know if its working or not.
