CPU on, but no display.

Hello,

My monitor shuts down or goes into power saving mode. The CPU is still on, but i just cannot see any display. The only way to get it back running is by pulling the power cord of the cpu and turning it back on again. This happens about 5 to 7 times in a day.

Can anyone help me with this?

Go to Control Panel, then into Power Options. Find 'Change when to turn off the display'. Change this settings to 'Never'.

Also you can change when the computer goes to sleep. In the same power options.

Thank you.

Ive done this already. I am trying to figure out if I have hardware problems. Is it possible that this happens because of a faulty power supply? or do I need to change my video card?
