Hello, the answer was helpful but the problem is that I have a blue screen and am unable to even start the computer. this started when I tried to install xp pro on my lap top that was xp home. Now I am unable to do anything with the laptop. so I am looking for what to do to get the window xp home installed. thanks in advance.

I have always found It was a hardware problem when I get into Blue screen....
For example..I used to have blue screen and after cooling the CPU,the problem has been solved....
In my opinion it may be a hardware problem...Try to looking the hardware...
