Hello,

recently a thunder storm was hit in my area and i found my Realtek rtl8168/8111 pci -e gigabit ethernet card is not working properly, and it is showing a red cross mark on the connection and a tag "network cable is unplugged" when i try to enable /repair the connection both the options are disabled.
i have checked the bios it is enabled and i have also downloaded new device driver and installed it.
and i tried to perform loop back ping test it is successful but when i try to perform the test on pinging the router / gateway ip it is showing "destination host unreachable". what is the problem wheather my nic card is down or my cable is out. please give me your valuable suggestions on my problem

Greetings,

You card may be fried. However, I suggest that you go to your device manager and delete it, then boot your machine for Windows to detect it again. That just may solve you problem.

Good luck
