What is the problem when laptop is running in safe mode but not in normal mode

hello,What is the problem when laptop is running in safe mode but not in normal mode.i use sony vaio laptop.my problem started when i clicked the projector option without connecting to the projector.after this blank screen appears.

This sounds like you have activated the external monitor via the Function key and deactivated the built-in screen. The solution is to use the same function key to reactivated the screen.
