My hp nc6220 screen wont turn on

Hello,
i have a Hp nc6220 and the laptop powers on but only the actual laptop powers on, the screen doesnt turn on, all the light come on but the screen is just blank as if it were off, i was using it at night while watching a movie it went into standby the next day i tried using it but the screen wont turn on and the disk is still in there.

PLEASE HELP I NEED THIS LAPTOP IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME

Unplug the power, remove the battery and then hold the power button for 30 to 60 seconds. Then reattach the power and attempt a boot. It worked for me! Just shutdown, put the battery back in you're good.

But now theres a loud noise coming from the inside when powered on, and it might be the fan blowing then stopping. i tried your method but it didnt work

Dear Al

You definately have a motherboard and/or power supply problem which only a hands on, in the flesh technician can repair. It's not a system issue. I can not see into your machine and run tests.
