INDIRECT formula alternative?

Hello,

I would like to know if anyone can offer an alternative to using the INDIRECT function in a formula in order to pull from another worksheet in an Excel Workbook?

I have a file that has a very large number of worksheets, and at least one third of the worksheets need to pull information in multiple cells from other worksheets in the file. While INDIRECT certainly works, it really bogs down the file as it is volatile and must relcalculate far too often.

Have you tried the INDIRECT.EXT function in addon MOREFUNC. I dont know how its performance is vs INDIRECT. But you get advantage that workbook need no to opened for indirect to work
