Dvi to hdmi convertor

Hello,

i want to purchase a samsung led monitor but it does not have a hdmi port but has dvi .

so my Q is wats the difference between a monitor with hdmi port and a monitor without hdmi port and i put a dvi to hdmi convertor??

plzz help me

DVI does not carry audio signal.
A DVI to HDMI cable will do. But you won't have sound out from your Samsung monitor (which i assume has built in speakers).
