Hi,
Try to add an 's' after your http, thereby making it a secure site connection. In other words your url should read: https://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home instead of https://www.facebook.com/

i am facing similar issues... tried two different computers in two different locations... i just get the login page... and inserting the user and pass... it goes to "internet explorer cannot open the page".
any suggestions?

In Firefox,
Log out of Facebook
to Tools> Clear Private Data
check all, validate
reconnect to Facebook and voila
