My Microphone Doesnt work

Hello,
I have an Asus computer and it is suppose to have a built in mic however, it is not working correctly. Everytime I try to skype or do something else that requires the mic usage it says "no audio device found" or "problem with the recording device"
Does anyone know what is wrong or how to help?

Hi,
Did you use Skype for calling? Is yes, try the fix below otherwise, let me know:
Set up your microphone (go to the sound card parameter)
Open skype tools --------> Options-----> Audio, set the parameters with those of your sound card.
Decrease the volume of microphone and loudspeaker to avoid interference.
