HP screen stays black

Hello,

Please help. My HP computer beeps once and the power light goes on, and the little Internet thing is orange but the screen stays black. I've triedthe unplug it, remove battery, plug it back in taticke. And the plug in desktop screen thing, but the desktop says there's no signal. What do I do? I don't have the money to fox it or buy a new.

Sorry but there can be a hundred different things that could be wrong with your computer. Only hands on diagnostic work can identify the problem.

But, you can try the 30 second hard reboot:
1. unplug power and remove the battery
2. push in and hold down the power switch for a full 30 seconds
3. install the battery and plug the computer back in
4. turn it back on.

hello I have same problem Do you mean removing the cmos when you told the person here to remove battrey?

No just the laptop power battery.

oh i thought you were talking about a tower not a laptop coz my tower doesn't boot and nothing comes on the screen. light in the tower and fans are wotking. any help please?
