Bsod stop code 0x0000008e

Hello,

i have a hp compaq nw8240 running windows xp. it is continuously rebooting and when i turn off auto reboot i get a blue screen with stop code 0x0000008e. i tried safe mode, last known configuration, safe mode with comand prompt. Nothing works. I am using a different laptop to try and find anwers to fix it myself.
