HP DV2500 just beeps continuously, no startup

Hello,

I was giving this laptop and have not been able to fix the problem. The person that gave it to me said he got the hard drive out of another computer with Vista already installed and put it in this one, it only beeps constantly until you can't stand it anymore and have to shut it down, and will not start, I can get into the bios, Is there a way to fix it?

It does not always work to transfer hard disks from one computer to another and expect Windows to work. When Windows is installed it customizes itself to the hardware it finds on the motherboard. Ehen you transfer the hard drive Windows may not be able to boot if the MB chipset differs from the original. I suggest you reinstall Windows for the CD.
