Installing Lexmark 1100 in Ubintu

Hello,
I am attemting to install a Lexmark 1100 all in one in Ubuntu 8.04 but this is as far as I get and I have tried a few times.
Any ideas please.

The Z600 is without a doubt the right on but how do I know I have permission or not, I have had Ubuntu and Puppy on different laptops for some time including viewing XP from within Ubuntu and needed plenty of downloads with no problem with permissions so how do I find out.

hi,
it may be that the driver is not for linux version.
try to download another version of it.
also check if you have full rights on yourpc to install a software.
that is, if you are the admin.
