Yes, net send is for WIndows XP only. Any lan messaging tool should have broadcast option. e.g

Open "Command Prompt" and enter the command msg/?
You can find all the instructions to send a message to a user.

thx but I've tried and I find it not so esay to use especially for users who want to send messages.
So i've made some research for software that would do the same and now I use dMessage

You can use www.dmessage.com, very easy to install and configure..

Yes and you can connect dMessage to your LDAP directories ;)
