Stuck on desktop no icons, nothing

Hello,

i got a new computer and it came with a Windows 7 64x CD i put it in nothing happened and there is nothing at the desktop but my wall paper, i hit Ctrl+Alt+Dele and it black screened i pressed F2 and F10 on start up nothing happened please help i would like to get my new desktop up and running.
