Scanjet 2400 yellow problem

Hello,
I am getting a yellow background from my HP scanjet2400.
If I put itinto picasa i canchange to black and white but when I take out to put it into another folder it returns to yellow.

It is not an exclamation the actual scnned document has a yellow background. If I run a blank scan I get a yellow page
