My DVD Writer Runs DVD but CD Not Recognised

Hello,

Please provide help

When I Insert DVD in my LG DVD writer its works fine but when I insert CD it stops spinning and does not recognise. what will be the problem, the same CD is working in other CD / DVD drive but in that particular DVD driver, its show EMPTY,

Please Give Solutions

Is your drive is new or the prblm. please mention that period of this prblm occurs

My drive is old, DVD runs perfect, the about trick i have done but no result, why cd not recognise, any one GENIUS
