Most programs have no sound

Hello, I turned my computer on today and found non of my programs have sound except internet explorer but when i test my speakers sound comes out oh and the sound doesnt come out of headphones either please help

The trouble may be coming from the sound driver, please consider updating it for resolving the trouble.
