ASP.NET & ADO.NET

Hello,

I am new to .net environment. I have an interview on coming monday. The company has a practical test round in which we have to implement a module that will make use of data grid view on which the manual operation should work such as insert, update, delete. In addition while deleting any record application should ask for the confirmation. The database require a table named student with 2 fields id & name. Id must be auto incremental.

As I am still a little unfamiliar with the ASP.net and its connection with microsoft SQL Server, so Kindly please tell me step by step process to implement this. I searched in google but culdnt find a proper step by step method to implement it. Kindly plz help me.
