Problem while downloading Adobe reader

Hello,

Whenever i try to download Adobe reader x or xi , there always occurs a problem while doing so. It shows the following problem:
"Adobe Bootstrapper for Single Installation has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Downloading halts at 96 % ...
Plz tell me hw to proceed ???
