Lap Top has no power

Hello, Hi tried the reset recommended. take out battery,unplug, hold power button,plug back in, put battery back in, got no response. Have a Joey clam shell.
The problem is I plugged in the wrong power cord momentarily. Computer was on at the time and did not respond negativly. It was after I turned the computer off about half hour later...would not turn back on and does not light up at the power supply?????? Pls help,

You might have burned out the power electronics if the power adapter supplied a higher voltage than the laptop was designed to use. Only a service tech can tell after testing the unit.

Thank you for the rapid resonse. The power supply was 6 volts higher than what;s needed.
Any posts as to home repair?
