Usb flash not found

Hello,
I went thro all the posting to solve write protected error in my transcend 4gb pen drive & downloaded repair_v2.9.1.1.zip.Tried to run it after connecting my transcend 4gb pen drive,but it says USB flash not found.Please help me to format the same.

try to open it from windows explorer, otherwise format it from disk mgmt or try it from control panel & add new hardware.....

when I try to run the exe repair_v2.9.1.1 it says usb flash not found.I have tried all options setting write protect parameter to 0,uninstal & reinstal the drivers,update driver,try formatting from disk management etc.
Please let me know what to do.

Have you tried it in any friends PC, may be your USB port is not working well.
