Is there a chance that you can convince your boss that Microsoft Project is not going to improve your project?
Without a good 3 to 5 day training session you stand no chance of coming out ahead. You will spend days of your time just to get started. Unless your organization has stock templates for you to use. Your boss probably just wants to have neat charts to show to his/her boss.
MS Project is best when you have very large projects and a Admin Assistant that works full time keeping it up to date.
