hi my computer is experiencing sudenly power off itself (cut power, not logging off and reboot)
i don't play games or do any high performance tasks.
Here is my config.

MagicPro H61M-U3 LGA1155 Mainboard
Intel I5 2400 3.1G 6M/LGA1155 CPU
Goldenmars 4GB DDR3 1333 Ram
Seagate 500GB SATA3 7200rpm HDD
2TheMax Maxtron 500BV 500W PS
ATX Case
No display card, video are done on-board components (m/board

My question is
1. what i should replace? power supply unit?
2. what watts I should pick? 350W or 400W? Now I am already using a power supply of 500W, but of cheap brand.
3. Any problems with heat accumulation and ventilation if i use a new small ATX case? (my case is now damaged as well). I'll keep most hardware
4. Antec power supply 400W 80-Bronze. Is it good enough?
5. Please also advise a good small case if ventilation is not a problem for me. Thanks

Hi kenny1999,

Thank you for providing the technical details about your computer. Before providing any troubleshooting steps I would request you to start the computer and enter the BIOS (System Setup). Check if the computer stays on here.

Before you replace any of the parts that you have listed in your post, please check if you can observe any signs of overheating (e.g., fan spinning at a higher speed, power supply overheating, the chassis is too hot to touch, the computer is very hot when it shuts down automatically, etc.).

Do reply with results.
