Hi BrentL,
From your post I understand that you had accidentally pressed some keys on your laptop keyboard and the display is gone. If you are using Windows 7 Operating System you can try "Windows Key + P" repeatedly to check if the video is back.
If the issue is different or is not fixed, please reply with exact System Model Number of your Laptop and the Operating System installed.
Do reply with results.
