Hello,
Try this 1
1) Try the defragmentation in "Safe Mode".
When you switch ON your laptop, start tapping the "F8" key to get
"Advanced Boot Options" ( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep
tapping the F8 key)
Select the option "Safe Mode" and press Enter.
2) If the problem still exists then
Right-click on that drive --> Properties --> Click on "Tools" tab --> Under "Error-
checking", click on "Check Now" button.
In "Check Disk" window, select "Automatically fix system file error" and "Scan for
and attempt recovery of bad sectors" options and click on "Start" button.
After completion of the above process, you can try the defragmentation.
