I Have been given a tx1000 that had a blank screen, the fan came on as did the lights but nothing on the screen, so I replaced the motherboard but still have the same problem.
Any ideas, solutions, tips or tricks would be much appreciated
Thanks
Ben

Try the over heat solution with a hair dryer heated up the Corner of the unit where the fan is. Being careful not to get the surface of the plastic too hot. i keep turning the unit on and off and about two minutes in the laptop turned on just fine.

If you not believe here the link from the thread :https://ccm.net/forum/affich-56849-hp-tx1000-boots-a-blank-screen
