Missing emails

Hi all, I had trouble and needed to reinstall my OP system which is Windows7 Pro, unfortunately I also had to reinstall my email program and I had about 30 emails yet to read, and some saved to a special "save" folder which I presume I have lost forever.

Having downloaded Windows live mail again and set up my Tiscali email account the emails which I presume? are still on the server have not downloaded to my PC.

I usually get as many as 30 emails a day and since I reinstalled Live Mail and my Tiscali email address which was about a week ago I have only had 10 emails.

Can anybody advise me if its possible to check the server for stuck emails which need to be sent for? I am sure that there must be a lot of my mail floating about somewhere. Regards Robert.
