Messenger missing emojis

Hello, so I reinstalled messenger, cleared data and cache, because it was acting up.

Now I don't see all new unicode emojis, pic:


What I see instead are emojis from messenger mixed with my keyboard of choice (doesn't matter if it's SwiftKey or Gboard), pic:


What I tried:
1. Reinstalling Messenger, SwiftKey and Gboard
2. Clearing data and cache
3. Restarting phone
4. Installing older versions of messenger and updating
5. Waiting for the next update
6. Function "Use messenger emojis" is either non existent on my phone or no longer being an option

please help ????

System Configuration: Android / Chrome 90.0.4430.210

5. Waiting for the next update
Another update fixed it. I don't know why I had to wait for 2 updates and not only one, but this seems like a best option, waiting for messenger to download latest unicode emojis.
