Screen on my laptop went black.

i've tried to plug my laptop (windows7) into the tv and when i changed the display settings the screen on my laptop went black. i have scoured the net to find a solution but nothing works.tried system restore...no joy. i know how to change it back but as the screen is black i cant see what i'm doing. please help
please can somebody help!!!!!

Hello,

Try this 1

1) When you switch ON your laptop, start tapping the "F8" key to get

"Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep

tapping the F8 key)

2) Select the option "Enable VGA Mode".

[If you are using Windows 7, then select the option "Enable low-resolution

video"].

thanks jack but didnt work. i am running windows 7 so tried the 'enable low res vid' option but after the logo screen finished it went black again. havent got an external monitor and the tv thing didnt work so dont know how to change settings when i cant see anything. any ideas?

Try this 1
Follow the above given step 1. Check if you are able to boot into "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Command Prompt".
