                    1.   Try disconnecting the pen.  Switch off the computer.  Count to 20 fairly slowly;. Reconnect the pen and switchy the computer back on.
2. Try another lead from the pen to the USB port. Id possible also try it on another computer to see if the pen is recognised on it.
3. Try a different USB port. Test the USB port with another device.
4. Look at the website for the pen. Perhaps there is a new driver, or perhaps someone else has had the same problem.

(Long, long ago when the car broke down, I used to take the spark plugs out of my Morris minor and look at them wisely and put them back in again and mostly the car would start again very sweetly.)
