Does windows 7 automatically install sound and LAN card drivers

Does windows 7 automatically install sound and LAN card drivers during it's installation?

Yes, If the hardware drivers were available when the Windows DVD was created. Some new computers might have new hardware that lacks drivers. It's best to backup the current drivers to a CD before you reformat your computer.

Hello xpcman,
I have Realtek AC97 Audio drivers installed and I also have Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet and Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter. So would these drivers be installed automatically when Windows 7 in installed? Another question that I wanted to ask was that how can I backup drivers? I don't know where they are on my pc and how can I backup them by copy pasting them?

A product like SlimDrivers can backup your drivers and find/install the latest drivers. Just Google the name for a download location.
