Hi! I have a presario v6000 laptop and I've had it about 6 years. It has always had a battery problem and I have always used it plugged into the power. But last night, out of the blue, it turned off on me. It seems there was no power getting to the laptop because where I plug the cord in lights up when the power is on, but this isn't happening.
So. My question is, do you think the battery has just totally died so there is no power getting through, or do you think it's the cord, not delivering the power for some reason? I also managed to start it again today but it happened again shortly after...
What do you think?
Thanks! :)

It could be a number of things:
1. the charger (cord)
2. the power circuit on the motherboard

Does the power cord have a light on the box? If it's not lit then you can assume it's broken.
