Hi
Some CD's dont get to auto-play
Try this:
1. Insert the CD
2. Open Explorer and locate the drive
3. Click to open and play

The dvd/cd rom is not recognizing CDs. It doesn't show any media ,when CD is all ready inserted in side.

Have you followed my instructions about locating the CD with Explorer?
What kind of CD's are they? Blank? Music? Data?

I have tried about 7 different Cds, including movie, music, and two different blank Cds. Some of which was played many times, are about 6 to 10 months old.
While locating , CD ROM drive appears with no disc in it.

What is the make and model of your computer?
What is your operating system?
Do you have both a writer and a reader?
When you insert, can you hear the disk turn or can you see the small green witness light shining?
When you go into explorer, is your cd drive showing even if the disk is not? If just the drive showing but not the disk, what happens if you double click the drive?
Please answer all of my questions
