Black screen after booting

Basically I've got windows 8 and I was doing something on my laptop and I opened the command prompt and typed in the chkdsk command and set it for after I boot and I then rebooted after installing some software for Nero and bam after loading windows 8 the logo comes up but then goes and leaves my with a black screen and I've booted in safe mode with command prompt but this time it goes blank quicker but at the same loading screen as last time

I've also had problems with my graphics driver while playing a game it keeps crashing then recovering
