Almost one quarter of computer users are in the same position as you.
You may not need to purchase a new computer but, if you are not computer savy, you may need the help of someone if you wish to preserve some of your data and programmes.
You may have a month or two before anyone starts to exploit flaws with XP which are not being patched.
There are two choices offered to you to keep your machine safe:
1. Upgrade to Windows 7 (more friendly) or to Windows 8.1 (Forget Windows 8 or
2. Go to another operating system such as Linux.

Currently running a 30 day free trial of Avast, which still covers Windows XP, & will be for & least another 3 yrs. Just downloaded , computer running slower than normal. Due to the fact I'm not on very much, will take time to see if all is well. Will update ASAP.
