Well this is an easy fix.
Go to ebay or your favorite laptop store and buy a new screen. Go ahead and purchase a new backlight also, as i am certain that you not be able to determine if it is the screen or the backlight. If the screen turns gray when on and black when off, your backlight is good. Make certain after your physically replace the screen, you connect all of the wires back in order for your system to work correctly, or you will make other problems along the way.
Or, you could take it to a repair shop if this is above your skill set.
