Hello,
can other computers ping the server?
if not, try disabling the firewall on the server/client computer and trying again.
also, disable any antivirus solution and try again.
do your mapped drives point to hostname or IP address?

hi,
other computers can ping the server. I have turned off the firewall and antivirus, rebooted the computer after, and still no luck. the mapped drives points to hostname.
