1st:If the Hard Drive breaks then you WILL lose all your files.<-(in this case just do a backup)

Hello KainaatKafeel,
You can lock your hard drive by hiding it from the public. If you are using a shared computer, you could hide the partition that your files are on. Here's a tip:https://www.wikihow.com/Hide-and-Lock-Hard-Disk-Drives-in-%22My-Computer%22
The other option is to use hard drive manufacturer's software for software encryption.
There are also plenty of programs on the web for hard drive locking.
