Hello, i have bought a new acer aspire laptop xp windows media center edition 2003 with twelve months warrenty. my problem with this is bought my [c] drive is running on fat32, and so is my [d] drive, i have tryed to restore from factory settings but still the same. was this laptop set up wrong from the start , or is there some thing wrong with the hard drive.or should i take it back to acer manufacturers,it just wont reconise the partion files on my back up dvd's.yours thankfully whacker

you would have to reformat the hard drive.
thus resulting in having to reinstall windows.
usually manufacturers include a windows install disc with your computer, just back up all the stuff you want to keep and start the comp with the windows installation disc.
delete the partition that's already on there, and create a new one.
then format the HDD at the desired setting.
it will possibly save you some time dealing with the retailer.
that is, if you have the install disc.
