Just like your computer can blue screen and reboot on startup, it can also do the same on shutdown. One thing to try would be pressing F8 while startup and entering the "Disable automatic reboot" boot sequence. That way, if you are getting a BSOD that's too quick to catch, you'll see it.
In my limited experience, reboots like this are caused by a driver freaking out when entering a different power state, like shutdown or sleep. It's likely that you just need a driver re-installed or updated, but the trouble is finding out which.
