Hi,
I have an excel sheet made with few rules and formatting for cells but many times I have the requirement to copy values to these cells from textpad or notepad or different excel sheet. When I do that, the existing rules & formatting of the cells is not getting applied to these copied values. It seems to be getting applied only when I key-in the values. Did anyone faced this issue and have some solution? Please help me if you know.

Hi Rchandran,
Right-click the destination cell and choose "Paste special". Here you can choose to only paste the values. This will let you keep the format of the destination cell.
Best regards,
Trowa

A workaround could be to re-apply the format after every change made. Could you let me know how your sheets colour layout is (like column A = green, cell D5 = yellow etc.)?
